WELCOME TO KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO.-2, AFS, CHAKERI, KANPUR-208008
and has traversed from infancy to adolescence; wonderful years of glory and
achievement, it has set many milestones in the service of society.
This Vidyalaya is one of the Modern istitutions of KVS, New Delhi, and is
prestigious to have been one among the first 10 schools established in the
17 august year 1981 under the Central School Organisation and now known as
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, all over India. The Vidyalaya is situated
inside the premises of Air Force Station, Chakeri and occupies an area of
15.44 acres of land. The Vidyalaya has two main buildings Primary &
Secondary Wing with 58 classrooms, well equipped Science Laboratories with a
separate, innovative Science Lab for Juniors, four advanced technology aided
Computer Lab, Resource room with Television & computer L.C.D.
Technology,well staff room, Including separate rooms for vocational
activities, in all we have 80 rooms.
The Vidyalaya has Science,Commerce and Humanities streams with Informatics
Practices at +2 Level.
Our Mission
KVS has a four fold mission viz:-
- To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
- To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
- To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
- To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
